The agreement between you and Loving Memory UK when you create a memorial or buy a medallion.
What we provide
A memorial page for someone who has died, hosted by us, reachable by a web address and — if you buy one — a physical QR medallion.
A free memorial includes a photograph, biography, timeline, family, tributes, candles and a charity link, within the limits shown when you create it. Premium removes those limits and unlocks the rest of the features. A medallion purchase includes Premium on the memorial it is linked to.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us at once if you think someone else has it.
You can add other people as page admins. They can change anything on that memorial, so add only people you trust with it.
What you put on a page
You must have the right to use the photographs and words you upload, and what you publish must not be unlawful, defamatory or a breach of someone else's privacy.
Tributes left by visitors are screened for offensive language automatically, and you can approve, remove or close them at any time.
We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and in serious cases suspend an account. We will tell you why.
Paying, and changing your mind
Everything is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions and no renewal fees.
You have 14 days to cancel a purchase for a refund. For a physical medallion that period runs from the day it arrives, and we ask you to return it unused. For a Premium upgrade, telling us to start straight away means you may lose that right once we have — we will make that clear at the point of purchase.
If we refund a Premium upgrade, the memorial returns to a free page and the content that exceeds free limits stops being displayed. Nothing is deleted.
How long a page lasts
We intend memorial pages to last indefinitely and we do not charge again to keep one. We are honest that no business can guarantee forever: if we ever had to stop, we would give reasonable notice and a way to take a copy of everything on your page.
You can add people to look after a page after you. For a memorial someone has written about their own life, nominating successors is required for exactly this reason.
Where we stand
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
