Evelyn Grace Chen was a woman of quiet brilliance and boundless generosity. A retired GP who practised in the same surgery for thirty-five years, she was known by her patients not just as their doctor but as someone who truly listened. Born on Valentine's Day, she always said she was destined to care for people. Outside the surgery she was an avid watercolour painter, a terrible but enthusiastic gardener, and the proud mother of three. Her kindness, her laugh, and her terrible puns will be missed by more people than she ever realised.
